TeSys D GREEN

Saving the planet.

In our collective journey to save the earth’s resources, every step counts.

We’re all looking for ways to enhance our corporate social responsibility efforts, including environmental performance.

Small changes can generate big savings. The TeSys D Green contactor is equipped with an innovative electronic coil. These electronic-coil contactors require up to 80% less energy than electro-mechanical contactors. This innovation results in concrete value: for example, large plants can noticeably reduce their energy bills, and for every contactor installed you are taking another step in saving resources.

By combining a TeSys D Green contactor with a TeSys LR9D electronic overload relay, you will have less heat generation, and further reduce energy consumption.

With TeSys D Green, Schneider Electric reduced the number of product references by a factor of ten. Now, with just three product references per rating covering control voltages from 24 V to 250 V in

AC or DC, ordering and managing inventory is easy.

FIVE major advantages

  1. Low control current = Lower overall consumption. Reduced coil power (just 0.5 W / 24 V DC for the BBE coil) contributes to increased machine energy efficiency.
  2. Low control current = Direct PLC control for contactors up to 80 A. TeSys D Green contactors (with BBE coil) can be driven by a common 24 V DC / 500 mA static output, a relay interface is no longer needed.
  3. Coil current permanent monitoring /control = Constant closing / opening time regardless of voltage fluctuation, for reliable repetitive actions.
  4. Coil current permanent monitoring / control = Reduced contact bounce due to machine shocks and vibrations, preventing microbreaks.
  5. Legacy standard dimensions and terminal assignment = one ‘TeSys D Green’ can replace many ‘TeSys D’ contactors as a spare, when maintenance is needed, with better performance.
