Pathways with LetsPlay.live

This month, our friends at LetsPlay. Live (LPL) announced the 2021 VALORANT Oceania Tour in partnership with Riot Games.

For the first time, VALORANT players in the Oceanic region will be able to compete for an opportunity to play at an international level. Through international pathways in esports, players can build their stardom, talent and competitive repertoire – and even get signed to esports teams and organisations offshore!

The 2021 VALORANT Oceania Tour will allow players to make a name for themselves on the regional and international stage, providing them with the opportunity to battle against the region’s best.

If you don’t know what VALORANT is, don’t worry – the game was only released last year. Despite its youth, the team-based 5v5 game has garnered huge interest from fans of first-person shooter titles such as CS:GO and Overwatch around the globe.

What sets VALORANT apart from similar titles is it’s hero classes. Each character has different abilities that let them unleash special moves after a certain amount of time. These abilities range from simple things like the ability to heal or revive fallen teammates to unique moves that teleport other characters back to a different place in the map.

The 2021 VALORANT Oceania Tour will see the top eight teams from the Oceania region compete for the title of Champions, as well as their share in a $30,000 AUD prize pool and one of the top spots in the NA + OCE Champions Last Chance Qualifier.

This last chance qualifier gives competitors the opportunity to qualify for the VALORANT Global Championship event!

The 2021 VALORANT Oceania Tour starts soon with Stage 01 Open Qualifier registrations open now and the first games kicking off on February 10. If you don’t feel you’re skilled enough to compete but still want to catch the action, LPL will be broadcasting qualifier and championship matches throughout 2021.
